Privacy

What we store about you

• Your email address and your first and last name.
• The date your account was created and a display name (taken from your first and last name if you do not give one).
• Fields we keep for a handle, a profile image, a verification timestamp and sign-in provider details. No current route sets them, so they are empty for an account created with an email and password.
• Your password as a bcrypt hash. We never store the password itself.
• What you create: notes, competencies, vouches, CVs, experience, education, goals and development plans.
• Your XP ledger: one entry for each action that earned XP.
• If you become a supporter: a subscription record (plan, status and renewal date) and Polar's customer and subscription ids. Card details never reach TekTree.
• We keep a copy of each payment notification Polar sends us. It includes what Polar holds about you as its customer: your email address, your name, and your billing name, billing address and tax ID if you gave them, along with your plan, price, dates and any cancellation reason you entered.

Who else handles it

• Railway hosts the app and its database.
• Polar takes payments, acting as merchant of record. Your payment details go to Polar, not to us.
